The light at the end of the tunnel
Lost in the darkness of ignorance, which has produce: poverty, perpetual sufferings, backwardness, and greedy leadership, the African continent has been groping in this darkness of ignorance for many years with no visible light at the end of the tunnel. Unfortunately, the children have suffered the most.
But now, redemption has come, there’s light at the end of the tunnel. The Rochas Foundation with free and quality education for the underprivileged African child is the light. For the past 20 years, the Foundation has provided free education for over 15,000 children in Nigeria and across Africa while admitting about 1,200 children yearly across its colleges in Nigeria.

Special Highlights of the event: Moments that brought tears to our eyes

  • Deberechi has been blind from birth and was raped at the age of 14 and has since suffered poverty and lack alongside her daughter who doesn’t go to school. During the search for the WORST CASE SCENARIO, the Rochas foundation scout team found her.
At the #rochas20thanniversary Deberechi was giving a Fully furnished 2bedroom apartment, with full scholarship from primary to higher institution for her daughter and a sum of N100,000 to start a trade to sustain her and her daughter. • “I had lost all hopes, nobody was willing to help me and my two siblings, nobody wanted to associate with us. For years, we suffered terribly without help” These are the words of Victoria. Victoria lost her father in 2002 in a car accident and later lost her mother to kidney disease in 2012. Since then, together with her two younger siblings, they had to beg for food. She couldn’t further her education.
During the search for worst-case scenario in her village, the Rochas Foundation scout team found her. At the just concluded Rochas Foundation 20th anniversary celebration, Victoria was given a newly built fully furnished two-bedroom apartment, a brand-new car for taxi business that will be managed for her, 2.7 million naira and her younger sister was also given full free education from primary to university…
